I'm Kandi S., the breeder behind Kandi's Pups located in Americus, KS. Our dogs are bred to have top qualities that all families want in their puppies, such as compassion, patience, and love! We do our best to breed with total care by primarily focusing on raising healthy, affectionate, and loyal companions. As a result of our efforts, we’re positive our puppies will become perfect family members and add just as much joy to your life as they have ours!
Q. & A. with Kandi
Why did you start breeding?
My husband and both grew up always having dogs in our homes and them being a big part of our childhood. Now as adults we still always have dogs in our home and they're a big part of our kid's childhoods. I was working at the school, and we always talked about how we'd love to provide families with good, quality dogs. So I quit my job at the school, stayed home full time and now spend my days with dogs. It truly is the best life I could ask for.
What makes your program special?
I have a small breeding program. Only having a hand full of breeding parents allows me to really give each parent lots of attention they deserve. By owning a cattle ranch, it gives the breeds we love so much, an opportunity to do the jobs they are bred to do. They help us with moving cattle, checking cattle out on pastures and sometimes processing. They LOVE having a job to do, and love getting praised for doing their jobs so well.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppies include white and red and black and tan. Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies are blue merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
