I'm Susan K., the breeder behind KB Standard Poodles located in Madison, WI. Our Poodles are family companions, AKC registered, and health tested; lovingly raised in a stimulating home environment with Early Neurological Stimulation, enrichment activities, noise, early grooming and social interaction. Why did you start breeding?
We have had family dogs since the 1970s and I cannot imagine living without the special bond, teamwork, and love they bring. We are happy to continue the fine, careful breeding behind our well bred Standard Poodles.
What makes your program special?
Our pups are bred for health, temperament, conformation. Prior to breeding, pedigree, OFA health, longevity and diversity analysis are used to inform the best mating. After lovingly raise pups, we strive to place our pups in the best enriching, loving home with the same high expectations we have for our puppies.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are brown. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Susan has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Puppy prices include a $500 refundable deposit and $1,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“Pet homes have a spay/neuter contract. Inquire if interested in a guardian home contract. Complete the application. Once your application has been accepted and the litter is born, a $500 deposit reserves your place on the wait list for this litter.”

health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA), Brucellosis
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
