Meet the breeder

I'm Kyran B., the breeder behind KBK9 Ranch located in Pollock, ID. I breed top-tier KNVP Dutch Shepherds for home and personal protection, sport, SAR, law-enforcement and service roles. I focus on quality over quantity & breed my females once a year. We offer stud service (Tommy Pegge-son BRN 43516). 8 yrs of experience.

Q. & A. with Kyran

  • Why did you start breeding?

When I was 13 y/o, I raised puppies for the 1st time. I struck a deal with my bf dad, who owned a national champion Brittany Spaniel named Countess. I had to get permission from my dad to house her at our farm, which meant building an outdoor pen, insulated dog houses, and setting up a whelping box in the barn. I laid out the terms to dad, and he agreed, I start my first business transaction.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black brindle and gold brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

  • Hip Dysplasia

Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Vet Wellness Exam

A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
