I'm Lisa S., the breeder behind Kentucky Papillon located in Lexington, KY. Papillons have small litters and not every breeder health tests to ensure healthiest offspring. Finding a healthy purebred Papillon is hard work, but once you are owned by a Papillon, it's definitely one of life's special treasures. This breed will quickly become your favorite.
We have AKC (limited) pet/companion puppies, and sometimes we offer a show/breeding prospect. Also, we offer older retired adults, when available.
Q. & A. with Lisa
Why did you start breeding?
In 2013, I bought my first companion/pet Papillon after researching the breed for several years. He was hard to find and harder to secure as it seemed Papillons were in short supply and almost none within hours of my location. I decided they were just too special not to have more of them available and wanted everyone to enjoy this breed, especially people closer to my area.
What makes your program special?
My dogs and puppies are raised in the home with people, not in a kennel outside and certainly not in barns or crates away from people. They are treated like family and they are trained from 6 weeks of age to be obedient, friendly, social and well-trained so new owners will be able to enjoy them and reap the rewards of good initial home training.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
