I'm Alyssa M., the breeder behind Key Star German Shepherds located in Big Pine, FL. We are a small hobby breeder of German Shepherds emphasizing temperament, health, socialization, and physical traits. We work very closely with you to make that match possible. We strive to find the perfect homes for our puppies. Our puppies are an integral part of our family and are home raised with years of experience. We spoil them with all the love, care and attention that they need. The best part about breeding these beautiful animals, is watching our puppies go to loving homes and staying in contact with those families.
Q. & A. with Alyssa
Why did you start breeding?
When I was 14 years old, I started training with a local trainer who bred and trained German Shepherds. I immediately fell in love with the breed. I have had this breed for over 15 years. I love how versatile they are. They make wonder pets, yet they are capable of therapy work, personal protection, sport work, search and rescue and much more they are such trainable dogs. They are remarkable, I love the breed.
What makes your program special?
Our dogs consist mainly of European working lines, mainly from German and Czech dogs. We only have one or two litters per year. They enjoy training, swimming, going out in the boat with us, and spending time with family. They are indoor dogs, they are free to roam as they please. Our dogs are very social and display a lot of courage and self confidence in any type of environment, making our German Shepherd puppies very desirable for police and personal protection work.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have stock coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include sable and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
