Q. & A. with Cindy

  • Why did you start breeding?

My dad was in the Army, stationed in Japan. There, he met my mom and brought her back to the states. Both of them were animal lovers, and Dad always spoke so highly of the Akita. He finally was able to adopt a rescue Akita. He spoke with several breeders and Akita fanciers, and was passionate about this very special breed . I too, was interested in this amazing breed . This was in the early 80’s and Kicho Na Akitas was created !
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, brown, black overlay, red, black overlay, and silver, black overlay. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
