I'm Teresa C., the breeder behind Kimber's Helping Paws located in Slaughters, KY. We have high standards for our breeding dog, we breed for service dog quality prospects then we donate puppies to non profits for training. Most of our puppies go to veterans programs. We sell a few " program supporter" puppies to help cover the costs of our dogs and our puppy programs.

What makes your program special?
I breed for quality smart dogs that like to work. I start my puppies training in day 1. I breed to try to help as many people with disabilities as I can. My program is small, my dogs are my family, they live in my house. We do everything together.

Getting a puppy from Teresa

Teresa has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Teresa partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.

“Normally our puppies are tested for serivce dog work about 7.5 weeks, then they are matched with the families. We like them to go home as close to 8 weeks as possible if being transported. Due to weight concerns for flights.”

Price

Puppy prices include between $3,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Price depending on if the puppy is going to be used for service work, or therapy or other working dog positions or pet. Deposit depends on placement of puppy. If it's going to an organization or a home.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. As of now if I am delivering your puppy to Louisville or Lexington, my plan is Sept 17th drop off in Louisville, then can meet in Lexington the night of the 17th, or in the early morning of the 18th. I'm planning on going to see the Ark on the 18th, then driving to Cincinnati for my Godson's Kaine Baptism. I need to book my house sitter please let me know if this works or not ASAP. I am also planning a trip to Tennessee for another that lives in that direction. If I get puppies going other ways we will work out details as needed for them. Please let me know, I want to be as accommodating as what I can for everyone. Thank you, my puppy parents. I look forward to growing with you over the next 13-15 years!

The babies got their self portraits today, and a check on their weights, all are gaining! The largest is pink (female) at 31.5 ounces, and the smallest is yellow (male) at 25.5 ounces. Everyone else is hold between those numbers. Their eyes will start opening this week. In two weeks we will start house training. Please check back or message me with any questions you might have the girls have the unicorn, in the pictures. The boys have "Fred" my mom's stuffed dog with them.

About Carroll
Carroll is a very special dog to me. She was in my first litter I ever bred. I gave her to my mother, who passed away on New Year's Day of this year for her Christmas present. This is Carroll's first litter. Carroll is half American field golden, and half European Golden. Her litter mates all but 2 are serivce dogs for veterans. Carroll and her one sister are program supporter to help with the cost associated with taking care of her parents and her. All her siblings were donated to veterans organizations at no charge for training and placement. The only complaint was the puppies were "too intelligent." Im not sure that is a complaint, I took it as a compliment. With these babies being 3/4 European they should have a little calmer demeanor, but still have the want and drive to please. With myself being disabled service and therapy dogs, and the health of my dogs and puppies always come first over anything else when I breed. Carroll is my only active breeding dog in my program as of right now. I am a big supporter of animal rescue. I love to talk about dogs, if you have any questions about genetics, golden, training, farm animals, ect please contact me, I would love to speak with you. My program is very strict, I only breed the best of the best. Im limited in what I can do with showing,due to my own physical limits. But I would love to speak with you about your new best friend.

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
