I'm Teresa C., the breeder behind Kimber's Helping Paws located in Slaughters, KY. We have high standards for our breeding dog, we breed for service dog quality prospects then we donate puppies to non profits for training. Most of our puppies go to veterans programs. We sell a few " program supporter" puppies to help cover the costs of our dogs and our puppy programs.

What makes your program special?
I breed for quality smart dogs that like to work. I start my puppies training in day 1. I breed to try to help as many people with disabilities as I can. My program is small, my dogs are my family, they live in my house. We do everything together.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Teresa
Teresa has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Teresa partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.
“Normally our puppies are tested for serivce dog work about 7.5 weeks, then they are matched with the families. We like them to go home as close to 8 weeks as possible if being transported. Due to weight concerns for flights.”

“Price depending on if the puppy is going to be used for service work, or therapy or other working dog positions or pet. Deposit depends on placement of puppy. If it's going to an organization or a home.”

Program update on 08 Sept •…4 puppies still searching for their people's. Girls are Red and Pink, boys are Light Blue and Light Green (Eli). Next week I'm taking trips to Tennessee, Lexington, Indiana, St Louis. If you need help getting your new baby home!

Litter update on 07 Sept •…I have 4 puppy still available! Green is a female, the other are male, Eli, black, and light blue. They are ready for deposits, and payment. We can make arrangements on getting your puppy to you, we have plans for Tennessee, Lexington, Columbus, IN, and St Louis. Please send me any questions. They have been seen by my vet all have a clean bill of health, current on vaccines, deworming. I'm happy to do zoom call, FaceTime to help you pick your perfect puppy. They will start going home next week - boy how time flys.

Litter update on 31 Aug •…I will be back home from neurologist eye doctor this afternoon evening, when it cools off if anyone wants to do a puppy conference let me know! I'm can't wait to see my babies! They are in very capable hands right now.

Program update on 23 Aug •…Playing in the slide and tomorrow we will get the turtle tunnel that goes with the slide. Not sure what it is but it sounds fun. Make sure to check back tomorrow night.

About Carroll
Carroll is a very special dog to me. She was in my first litter I ever bred. I gave her to my mother, who passed away on New Year's Day of this year for her Christmas present. This is Carroll's first litter. Carroll is half American field golden, and half European Golden. Her litter mates all but 2 are serivce dogs for veterans. Carroll and her one sister are program supporter to help with the cost associated with taking care of her parents and her. All her siblings were donated to veterans organizations at no charge for training and placement. The only complaint was the puppies were "too intelligent." Im not sure that is a complaint, I took it as a compliment. With these babies being 3/4 European they should have a little calmer demeanor, but still have the want and drive to please. With myself being disabled service and therapy dogs, and the health of my dogs and puppies always come first over anything else when I breed. Carroll is my only active breeding dog in my program as of right now. I am a big supporter of animal rescue. I love to talk about dogs, if you have any questions about genetics, golden, training, farm animals, ect please contact me, I would love to speak with you. My program is very strict, I only breed the best of the best. Im limited in what I can do with showing,due to my own physical limits. But I would love to speak with you about your new best friend.

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA), Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

+4Teresa was very responsive and did an initial 30 minute FaceTime with me where I decided on Lyla. She was very accommodating with my pickup date. Even offering to deliver her. Leading up to date she walked me through everything I would need to know. Especially about the AKC and her paperwork. Lyla is a 10/10 and so smart. Her breeding line appears to be top notch. I couldn’t be happier with Lyla and look forward to a lifetime of furry memories!
