Meet the breeder

I'm Rebecca L., the breeder behind King Family Doodles located in Silverdale, WA. We breed exceptional Goldendoodle puppies with a focus on health, temperament, and structure. We raise them with Puppy Culture, & complete all health testing on parents. We strive to be transparent in all practices. We are a proud Gold Level member of the Goldendoodle Association of North America.

Q. & A. with Rebecca

  • Why did you start breeding?

We have always loved Golden Retrievers, but wanted a dog with much less shedding. When we were searching for a Goldendoodle to add to our family, we had a hard time finding one nearby. We realized that there was a need for more in the PNW. We have become passionate about not just breeding cute puppies, but doing it in the most responsible, educated, way possible with transparency and integrity.
  • What makes your program special?

From beginning (FULLY health-testing and nurturing our parent dogs) to end (our puppies are never left alone, always focused on, trained, loved, & socialized), our program strives to be the best of the best. Anyone can breed their dog, but we have spent years learning about the absolute best of all breeding practices. This produces a truly special puppy. You will see the difference!
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include medium and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include apricot, red, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Rebecca was responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. You can tell they put a lot of love and care into their litters. The foundation the puppies are given made it less intimidating to bring our pup home. Thanks for your help Rebecca. We love our Roki!! We’re extremely grateful to be a part of the King Family Doodles family.

We had an absolutely amazing experience with Rebecca and King Family Doodles and I truly cannot recommend them highly enough. From start to finish, everything about this process was thoughtful, professional, and full of care—for us and, most importantly, for the dogs. From our very first inquiry, Rebecca was incredibly responsive and informative. They were open, honest, and clearly passionate about their dogs and the breed. It was clear right away that this wasn’t just a business—it’s a labor of love. Every interaction gave us more confidence that we were working with someone who is ethical, experienced, and fully committed to raising healthy, happy, and well-adjusted puppies. Throughout the process, we received regular updates—photos, videos, and messages about how the puppies were growing and developing. It was such a joy to see our future pup’s personality begin to emerge even before we met her in person. We felt so connected to her journey from the very beginning, and that made pick-up day even more special. When we finally brought our puppy home, we were completely blown away by how well-socialized, confident, and sweet she was. It was obvious she had been raised in a loving, attentive environment with lots of hands-on care and positive exposure to people, sounds, and new experiences. She settled into our home beautifully, and she’s been the happiest, healthiest girl. Her temperament is absolutely perfect—playful, affectionate, and so smart. We’ve received countless compliments on her already! One thing we especially appreciated was how much guidance and support the breeder gave us—not just during the adoption process, but even after we brought her home. They were always available to answer questions, offer advice, and cheer us on. It really felt like we were joining a community, not just making a purchase. That kind of ongoing support is rare and says so much about the integrity of this breeder. If you’re looking for a responsible, compassionate, and truly outstanding breeder, look no further. Rebecca goes above and beyond in every way. We feel incredibly lucky to have one of their puppies in our lives and we wouldn’t hesitate to come back for another in the future. Thank you thank you!!
