I'm Kate M., the breeder behind Kinobi Standard Schnauzers located in Etna, ME. My love of dogs began 50 years ago with a Miniature Poodle puppy, Samantha. I've had many dogs through my life, both purebred and mixed breeds, including many shelter rescues. Once I found the Standard Schnauzer something clicked and I've had at least one Standard in my home for almost 20 years!

Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Dilated Cardiomyopathy (Schnauzer Type)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
