I'm Nicole K., the breeder behind Kirk’s Dane Farm located in Lima, OH. We care about the Great Dane breed and do everything in our power to pair sound Danes to ensure healthy and sound puppies. Our Danes are fully health tested before breeding and we believe in early neurological stimulation and training using Puppy Culture in our program.
Q. & A. with Nicole
Why did you start breeding?
We started our journey with our first Great Dane, Scarlett, a blue female. We never realized how beautiful she would be and how much she would mean to our family (particularly me) until we brought her home. We decided to look for another Dane and agreed that Bane, a merle male, would be a wonderful addition, plus keep Scarlett company. The two have been inseparable ever since. I had always wanted a fawn female and totally fell in love with our 3rd Dane, Luna. She's a bit shy than the other two, but she loves us and we love her, all the same. We stumbled upon our 4th Dane, a harlequin male who was just a goofy, full of life and playful, handsome boy. And so we welcomed Bruce to our family. Bane and Luna had their first litter of pups in January of 2018, and we decided to keep a happy black female we named Ella, from that litter. We just recently purchased another blue female, the summer of 2018, and named her Lola.
What makes your program special?
We are a family who loves the majestic (but goofy), Great Dane. It is our goal to raise healthy, happy Great Danes and place them with wonderful and loving families who share the same likeness and love for these beautiful dogs.
