Michel H.

Breeder of Cane Corso

Meet the breeder

I'm Michel H., the breeder behind Knights of Valor Cane Corso Kennel located in Albany, OR. We are a small family breeder who strive to preserve the breed to its standard. We offer pets with amazing health & temperaments. Our dogs are AKC registered and conformation titled and fully health tested through OFA for hips, heart, elbows and patellas along with PennHip testing. We use VetGen to genetic test all our dogs for DSRA - Dental Skeletal Retinal Astrophy, CMR1, DM Degenerative Myelopathy, Cystinuia, and NCL1.

Q. & A. with Michel

  • Why did you start breeding?

Once I knew I wanted to be a breeder I worked with several mentors and well known breeders in the Pacific Northwest to get my kennel started correctly. I learned the proper breed standard and what it meant to “better” the breed through appropriate titling, and health and genetic testing. We also breed dogs for temperament. All of these key things are carefully considered before any pairings.
  • What makes your program special?

We have a puppy contract. We will always be the first point of contact for any/all of our dogs out of Knights of Valor if the owner ever decided they were to rehome for any reason. We offer lifetime breeder support. We sell companion puppies only, each come with age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming and AKC reunite microchip. We spend a lot of time socializing, caring & observing our pups.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
