I'm Makenna B., the breeder behind Knightsbane Standard Poodles located in Pasadena, TX. Parents are genetic health tested with X-rays and OFA. They come with a 2 year genetic health guarantee. Vet check up with first shots done at 6 weeks. Puppies are litter box trained on puppy pads and alfalfa pellets. All puppies have a goodie bag to help get them started in their new homes.

Why did you start breeding?
My first dog Ella started it all. She became the mom to so many service and therapy dogs who save lives to this day.
What makes your program special?
My puppies have all become wonderful family dogs who are good with children, other dogs, and learn commands fast.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include apricot, black, brown, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from Makenna

Makenna has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Makenna partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“My puppies in home will have vet check up with first shots, deworming done, litter box trained, and go home with a puppy bag of goodies to get them started. Deposits are non refundable, but can be transferred to next or upcoming litter.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. About Birdie
Birdie is a beautiful brown parti! She came to me from Poetry poodles. She is AKC & UKC registered. Birdie is very sweet and gentle. She follows me around the house and is happy to lounge and chew a bone or relax in the kitchen with me while I’m cooking. She has her genetic testing and OFA CHIC certified health testing.

About Archer
My beautiful dark red AKC, UKC, & CKC standard poodle! He has his OFA CHIC certified health testing. Archer is an absolute gentleman. He loves to be where ever I’m at and always gives plenty of kisses. I raised him from a puppy and love every moment with him. He has produced some of the best puppies. Many of them have gone on to be service and therapy dogs. He comes from a solid lineage with generations of health testing.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Makenna was great to work with. She provided updates throughout the process and was quick to respond to questions. Our puppy was just like she described, including temperament, size, etc. She insured we have all our paper work in order, including vaccination records, and she included things like blanket from mom, dog toys, and a few days of food. Would highly recommend Knightsbane to anyone looking for a new puppy!
