Meet the breeder

I'm Rhonda H., the breeder behind Kootenai Valley Klee Kai located in Naples, ID. We are passionate about the Alaskan Klee Kai and their loyal character. We love sharing these dogs and their adventurous personalities with others. We began breeding Klee Kai after getting requests from friends who liked our dogs. Since then we produce periodic litters to share our joy of the breed.

Q. & A. with Rhonda

  • Why did you start breeding?

After purchasing our first dog and falling in love with their character, we had multiple friends wanting to know if we'd consider breeding a litter to share. After that was successful, we began establishing interest lists, and breeding roughly once per year. We routinely hear from prior clients who share their adventures and growth with us, making this a fulfulling part of our lives.
  • What makes your program special?

Each puppy gets personal attention and ample time outdoors to play. They are fully immersed in family life with two small children and visits from guests. One has even been successfully trained as a service animal for a small child in school. We are always happy to answer questions, provide photos or videos, and talk about the breed.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include mini and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
