I'm James M., the breeder behind La Rebel Danes located in Walker, LA. Breeding quality Great Dane puppies. We have a couple litters a year. We produce standard and off color puppies. Each puppy goes home with a puppy pack, microchipped, shot records, vet check papers, signed contract by both parties and lifetime breeder support.

Why did you start breeding?
My first dane, Cheyenne, had such an amazing temperament and some friends were asking if she was going to have puppies. Danes are a breed all their own, they make you fall in love with them. They are so goofy yet gentle. You can't just have one.What makes your program special?
All the extra time my fiance puts into caring for our dogs around the clock.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include silver, chocolate, fawn, blue, harlequin, mantle, merle, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from James
James has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, James partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price
"All puppies will have age appropriate wormings (4) and get first round of vaccines at 6 weeks old. They will be ready for new homes at 8 weeks. $350 non refundable retainer fee to hold the puppy of your choice. Balance is due before or at pickup."

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
