Meet the breeder

I'm Marissa H., the breeder behind Lace's High Flying German Shepherds And Golden Retrievers located in Hawthorne, FL. At Lace's High Flying German Shepherds And Golden Retrievers, we are dedicated to breeding dogs that exemplify health, temperament, and intelligence. Our goal is to provide families with not just pets but loyal companions who are well-suited for both active lifestyles and family settings. We take great pride in ensuring that our dogs have the best quality of life and seek out homes that will continue to give our puppies the same love and care. Whether for sports, active companionship, or service work, we breed dogs that are versatile and capable of thriving in a variety of roles. Our commitment to excellence is reflected in the comprehensive health testing we perform on all our dogs. Every one of our German Shepherds and Golden Retrievers is tested in accordance with the Orthopedic Foundation For Animals (OFA) guidelines to ensure the highest standards of physical health, particularly in areas such as hips, elbows, and cardiac function. Moreover, we believe in raising dogs that not only look and act the part but have the accolades to prove it. All of our dogs hold titles in various disciplines, showcasing their abilities in competitions such as Dock Diving and Fast CAT, as well as conformation events with organizations like the United Kennel Club (UKC) and the International All Breed Canine Association (IABCA). Our passion for breeding goes beyond simply producing beautiful dogs. Many of our puppies have gone on to become service dogs, offering essential support to individuals in need. We prioritize temperament and trainability in our breeding programs to ensure that our dogs can excel in various environments, from active family homes to professional service roles. Whether you are looking for a new family member or a dedicated partner in canine sports, our dogs are bred to exceed expectations in all aspects of life.

So we had lost one of our Shepherds unexpectedly. And we were looking for a good fit to keep the packet three. I reached out to Lace and she had a beautiful black Shepherd. She did a quick background check, questionnaire, sort of thing. And then was very responsive. Now we have Blanco. Ironically, black dog named white in Spanish. He’s awesome and he’s healthy. And super intelligent. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Marissa was very sweet and responsive! I’ve been looking for a gsd puppy for a while now and saw her listed! Didn’t wait on it! It was meant to be. She is very trustworthy considering this was my first time using good dog! I don’t regret it! She gave us all of her papers and Parents health certificate which was amazing! Our pup Sunny loves her life and can’t wait to show her what the world can offer her!

We got our sweet boy Onix (Koda) from Marissa and could not have asked for a better experience!! Marissa has a wealth of knowledge about German Shepherds and she was more than willing to share it with us. It was our first time using Good Dog and we had a million questions. She was quick to respond and thorough in her responses. We received weekly updates, pictures, and videos, which really helped us feel bonded long before we brought our puppy home. Marissa asked all the right questions to ensure a good fit for our family, knowing we have young kids and other pets in the home. The time and effort she put into placement was a testament to how much she cares about her puppies. Onix has a great temperament and has seamlessly fit into our family, it is a perfect match! I highly recommend Marrisa, she was a pleasure to work with and made the process a breeze!

We love our puppy Koa. Marissa made it possible for us to be in contact & see her growth prior to getting her. I even requested a video & Marissa happily provided my request. All of the puppies were so happy & it was great to meet their mom. I would definitely recommend Marissa & Good Dog!

We lost our German shepherd in October of this year and we quickly figured out that we needed to have a four legged family member to fill our hearts. I found Melissa and messaged her. Melissa responded quickly. Melissa continued to keep communication and did so in a timely manner each time. She was very knowledgeable and very helpful with information and answered ALL of our questions. We got weekly picture updates on our girl and she even let us come visit her the week before we got to bring her home, which my family was very excited about. The day we went to pick up our pup Melissa was organized and had copies of all of family certificates and records for us and said to message her anytime if we have questions. Melissa was a great choice to get our new four legged family member from.
