I'm Nancy L., the breeder behind LaFleur Poodles located in Benton, AR. LaFleur Poodles is located in Central Arkansas between Little Rock and Hot Springs.
Q. & A. with Nancy
Why did you start breeding?
I bought my first show Poodle Tiffany in 2016. Experienced mentors and professional handlers guided me in AKC conformation where I finished her championship all owner-handled. Along the way, I met many ethical breeders who guided my breeding journey. After careful consideration of a championed health tested sire, Tiffany whelped her first litter on 9/4/19. Two of her puppies are headed to the show ring soon.
What makes your program special?
Staying active in a local affiliate Poodle club, the parent poodle club, and a Poodle rescue group is a testament to my dedication and commitment to the breed. I am passionate about preserving the breed and remain close to those with the same goals. I am proud to be a constant source of information to Poodle owners, well breed or rescue. Breeding evaluation and testing are done in accordance with the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA), Canine Health Information Center (CHIC), and Poodle Club of America (PCA) guidelines.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
