I'm Leesa G., the breeder behind Lake Effect Poodles, Leesa’s Jewlz located in Decatur, MI. We’re proud of the healthy, affectionate, and behaviorally well-rounded puppies we raise for other families to love! Over the years we’ve learned valuable methods for socializing our puppies. Each litter has a clean and safe environment to learn and grow so they have the best chance of becoming amazing family members!

Getting a puppy from Leesa
Leesa has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

“Includes AKC registration, pedigrees, all health information on parents. I’ve also completed and you will receive the DNA testing on each individual puppy. Puppies are de-wormed every 2 weeks, are raised with Puppy Culture techniques, handled several times daily, are in home, not a kennel. Puppies will be vaccinated at appropriate age and receive a veterinary health exam before leaving. Deposit will hold your chosen puppy until pick up.”

Parent health testing

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
