I'm Heather H., the breeder behind Lakeshore Goldens Michigan located in Ludington, MI. We are raising puppies produced from AKC Registered, genetically-tested parents with prelim OFA clearances for hips, elbows, & heart. We use the Badass Breeding program to raise our puppies. This includes ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation) & ESI (Early Scent Introduction) starting at 3 days old.

Why did you start breeding?
I have ALWAYS wanted to own goldens! We dove headfirst into breeding with two sweet momma girls and never looked back <3 Our goal is to raise healthy, well tempered, family goldens for your family!
What makes your program special?
We love our sweet girls Oakley & Rosslyn! We have put allot of thought into what lines we wanted to bring into our breeding program!
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Getting a puppy from Heather
Heather has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,300 - $1,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“Includes limited akc registration, first set of vaccinations, deworming, 2 year health guarantee on hips elbows and heart! We required a non-refundable deposit of $500. This will be put towards the final price of the puppy! This deposit can be transferred between litters if you decided the currently litter isn't for you (timing, parents etc...).”

health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps
protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you
both have a clear understanding of the terms of your

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Ichthyosis, Golden Retriever Type
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
