I'm Karyn R., the breeder behind Lakeside Danes located in Gainesville, FL. I have been raising Danes for over 20 years. They are raised in the home as family. I breed first for temperment.... and adhere to the GDCA Color and breed standard. I expect my babies to become your family too. I am reachable for any problems that come up and stay in touch with my puppy people. All pups are sold on a limited AKC registration. That means they're not to be used for breeding. The only pups I sell with unlimited contract are to proven show homes. I also co own my pups until I receive proof of spay/ neuter. In my contract the pups can never go to a shelter. If for ANY reason you can no longer keep the pup/ dog I will take the pup back.

Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
