Mike/Ingrid R.

Breeder of Golden Retrievers

Meet the breeder

I'm Mike/Ingrid R., the breeder behind Lakeside Golden Retrievers located in Castaic, CA. We are dedicated to bringing healthy, smart, calm, and gentle Goldens into the homes and hearts of other families. We work towards our goal by adhering to all recommendations put forth by the AKC (American Kennel Club) and the GRCA (Golden Retriever Club of America) with respect to quality breeding practices. All our puppies are raised and socialized in our home. We strive to produce our Goldens to be as close to perfect as possible!

Q. & A. with Mike/Ingrid

  • Why did you start breeding?

Lakeside Golden Retrievers was born from a deep love and respect for the Golden Retriever breed. Our first Golden, Mojo, lived up to every expectation our family had and then some. He ignited the desire to be a part of bringing healthy, smart, calm, and gentle Goldens into the homes and hearts of other families.
  • What makes your program special?

We are working towards this goal of providing healthy, smart, and calm Goldens with respect to quality breeding practices. This means both Dam and Sire will have gone through extensive genetic testing to reduce genetically inherited diseases that commonly affect the Golden Retriever breed. This also means that both Dam and Sire will have undergone the 4 key health screenings recommended by the GRCA. All results from genetic testing and health screenings will be publicly available through the OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) website.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
