Q. & A. with Amanda
Why did you start breeding?
I stumbled upon a heritage landrace group of dogs called scotch Collies and I dove headfirst into research. It turned out that the dog I was looking for all along was a scotch collie. I contacted breeders nationwide and after a year and a half, I got my first scotch collie. I had wanted to be a breeder for 14 years and I finally found the perfect dogs to start my program.
What makes your program special?
We focus on genetic health testing to ensure parent dogs pass only good genes to their offspring. We also focus on an old fashioned look but more importantly biddability. These dogs Excell in my obedience, farm work, companionship, and agility. We work on lots of socialization and exposure to a farm environment.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
