I'm Will M., the breeder behind Las Vegas Springer Spaniels located in Las Vegas, NV. We chose to breed Duke & Cali when we first bought Duke & then sought after an equal female. Both are LARGE Springers. They have been through OFA & DNA exams with normal/passing certifications. All are utd on shots, dew claws, tails docked. Both dogs 'talk' as do a few puppies. We have gr8 dogs.
Q. & A. with Will
Why did you start breeding?
Duke is exceptional in spirit, behavior and temperament. He listens very well and is a great specimen of the breed. We chose to continue his lines. We searched for a well qualified female Springer that balanced Duke’s traits. Cali has a happy spirit, great motherly intuition. Both parents are lean & in their ideal weight class for their height & build.
What makes your program special?
We feed exceptional dog food; PawTree. Our adults are exercised and trained daily as needed. We put their health & mental well being first before a dollar amount. Like the adults, the puppies live in the house in & sleep in their pen. They have access to our 1 story home while we are awake & learn a dogs boundaries. In the backyard they see our 2 horses & get to run top speed on our 1/4 acre yard.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

English Springer Spaniel
About Cali
Black with white blaze, white socks, previous pregnancies. A field Springer, short coat, medium length tail. Super sweet with a deep bark. She is very very intelligent and likes to be trained and challenged. She enjoys actually catching the ball more than chasing it. She understand simple phrases like “go get your ball” “bring me the ball” “go get Will/mommy/Duke” “go to crate” and other common commands like, speak, sit, spin, down, paw, roll over, play dead and agility commands when in the arena. She’s a flirt to Duke and very loving to her human family. She acts silly and will talk to us like a Husky would. She is toy driven but will work for treats. Her names is derived from our daughters name Calista and she is from California so is was a no brainer. She is able to walk off leash in traffic, parks etc. She understands horse body language (ears flat back, etc)lol. She’s not my dog, Duke is, but I love her so much.

About Duke
Duke is one awesome Springer. He is always a happy dog, eager to be with our family but cautious with strangers. When people meet him they want a clone of him because they love his black tri look and all of his ticking . He’s the Best Springer we’ve had in 22 years which is why his breeder allowed us to breed him with open registration. He is tall, 23” at the shoulder and very long. He is a big love bug, gentle with us and the puppies. This is his 6th litter. OFA eyes, hips, elbows. DNA screened. No issues. He has a wonderful temperament. His soft thick coat is lush when he spoons you or hugs you. He wraps his paws around your neck and squeezes you a hug. Some of his offspring do that too.
We have done many NADAC agility trials for fun, barnhunt and completed 3 obedience classes. So yes he listens very well, walks off leash anywhere and is easy to train like his mate Cali. Their puppies inherit such traits as many clients praise the parents and us too. He is extremely fast as we’ve raced other bigger dogs at our horse park. Such a sight to see him take off.

Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
DNA Repository, DNA Profile
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
