I'm Melissa H., the breeder behind Last Frontier Cane Corsos located in Delta Junction, AK. We’re a small ICCF registered “kennel”. Our pets live in home with us and go on our Alaskan adventures. We strive for a classic Cane Corso temperament; grounded in loyalty, courage and fearlessness when it comes to their families. Our pets have a strong sense of duty toward us, as we do for them.

Why did you start breeding?
I started out with Norwegian Elkhounds as a teenager, after my only pets and breeding pair passed, and I was in a position to pursue my love of the Cane Corsos, I did so in 2019.What makes your program special?
Our Corsos are pets first, they’re a part of our daily life and outdoor adventures. Our biggest concern isn’t size or color, but temperament and drive. Living in remote Alaska our pets both keep us company and protect our family, from wandering wildlife to passing strangers. We strive for duty above beauty, though find it’s hard to not see both in their personality and natural characteristics.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include gray and fawn, black, fawn, gray, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

“Full price includes current vaccination/deworming, tails docked, dew claws removed with full breeding rights. Deposit applies to any puppy, regardless of color or registration status. All pups require a $500 non refundable holding deposit.”

Monte is very active and has a high guard drive. You can frequently find him walking the perimeter and ensuring there are no threats to the family. Monte presents strongly with loyalty and courage under pressure. He’s very duty bound to protect his family. At the end of the day, he enjoys belly rubs from his favorite kiddos.

About McKinley
McKinley is gentle, sweet and patient and enjoys chasing squirrels. She prefers to lounge in the yard, watching her family. She’s courageous under pressure and does well discerning when something/someone is a threat or not. Shes dual registered with AKC and ICCF.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
