I'm Laura H., the breeder behind Lauras Poms located in North Pole, AK. We are first and foremost, a AKC Preservation breeder and strive to meet the breed standard. We offer full breeding rights to approved homes. Our puppies are raised with the utmost care, love, and attention, and we are committed to finding them loving, forever homes. Because we deeply value our time, we ask that you read the information below before contacting us. We look for informed buyers who have researched the breed and are fully prepared for the emotional, financial, and time commitments of owning a new puppy.   • Why did you start breeding?

    'My decision to breed came from my desire to be an active guardian for this breed. Having owned these dogs for years, I wanted to do my part to protect their legacy. For me, breeding is about maintaining the integrity of the breed standard so future generations can experience these dogs exactly as they were meant to be"

  • What makes your program special?

    Our program is built entirely on three pillars: verifiable health testing, intentional pairings based on improvement, striving to meet the breed standard and structured early development, raised in our home. Our foundation breeding dogs were meticulously selected form top-tier lines to establish our own independent program. To protect our program and the integrity of our specific lines, we do not field inquiries about other breeders. What we like and what we breed for varies from breeder to breeder. We spent countless hours researching and are focused entirely on the unique quality, structure, and home- raised socialization of the puppies we produce and not on other programs and puppies produced by others. Our lines are health tested for these breed - specific diseases. Progressive Retinal Atrophy Rod-Cone, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM), Hyperuricosuria (HU) to support health and breeding decisions. OFA luxation testing is done on our Pomeranians over 1 year of age for our breeding candidates.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include orange, cream, black, blue, chocolate, blue sable, blue merle, black and tan, and orange sable. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Laura

Laura has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Laura partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit. The remaining $2,000 - $4,000 is due before pickup, plus applicable taxes and fees.

“The price includes a health guarantee, pre-paid AKC registration, current vaccinations, wellness check, deworming. Included is an AKC folder, small blanket, small toy, small portion of puppy food and lifetime support. A Deposit of $500 is required to hold a puppy.   • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Vet Wellness Exam

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • Hyperuricosuria (HUU), PRA, Cone-Rod Dystrophy 3 (PRA-crd3), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Brachycephaly, DNA Profile, GenSol Diagnostics DNA Testing

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
