I'm the breeder behind Laxton Danes located in Borger, TX. Danes stole our hearts right from the start and we found ourselves wanting to get more involved. Breeding was a natural next step and we haven’t looked back since!

Why did you start breeding?
Breeding quality Great Danes in order to preserve the breed is our ultimate goal! We love the Great Dane breed and want everyone to experience the love and companionship they have to offer!What makes your program special?
All of our puppies are socialized to different environments, noises, water, other dogs and even our cats! All come with 1yr health guarantee, microchipped, age appropriate vaccinations, deworming, and flea/tick prevention started. All puppies are sold with limited AKC registration unless otherwise discussed. We will offer full registration for an additional fee and to approved breeders only.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include mantle merle, blue and white, black and white, fawn, blue, harlequin, merle, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Jessica
Jessica has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Contract & health guarantee
Jessica may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI), Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

A+, 10/10, gold medal, Emmy award, two thumbs up, you name it, Laxton Danes should be awarded it! This is our fourth Great Dane, our first from Laxton, and he the healthiest, most well bred, intelligent, athletic, agile and lovable GD puppy of all. Jessica was amazingly easy to work with, very flexible (as we tried to work with our crazy schedule), and clearly dedicated to the breed. Our little Mo has proven to be easy to train, very affectionate, confident, independent (but not too much), curious, brave, healthy, friendly, and very athletic. I can’t say enough about how much I respect Jessica and Laxton Danes. From the beginning it was very clear that the health and safety of their Danes came first. I had nothing but the best experience with Jessica and Chuck from Laxton Danes! This was my first time ever buying directly from a breeder (and first time using Good Dog) Jessica was super responsive to all my questions, both before and after the deposit was placed for my beautiful boy, Atlas. Through out the process they provided frequent video updates so I could see my pups progress as he grew. They also insist on delivering the puppies themselves if you need your pup to travel (with a fee of course). They traveled 8 hours to bring Atlas to me and he arrived in good health with all his records, microchipped and with a baggie of puppy food to help transition to a new food. (though I just kept on feeding him the same diet to avoid any dietary issues while he settled into his new home) It's been over a week now and Atlas is happy, healthy and well on his way already! He is wonderfully sweet and I can tell he was socialized very well as he is always so happy to meet new people and doesn't seem to mind my other small pets at all (Rabbit and a Bird). I cannot speak highly enough of Jessica and Chuck, who both came all the way to deliver me my baby boy! If I ever wish to get another Dane in the future, you best believe I'll always be contacting them first.

First and foremost, I must say that am not very trusting with purchasing anything from online. With all the fake websites, and scams, there is no telling who is who anymore. I wanted a Great Dane for my wife and as a brother for my other puppy. I came across Goodbog and Jessica’s profile of her beautiful Great Danes, and took a chance on reaching out to her to inquire about the puppies. Still the forever skeptic, I was afraid of being scammed. However, Jessica told be the process, assured me that it was all secured transactions, she was extremely patient with me, she answered ALL MY (1,001) questions. She was supportive throughout the entire process. Indeed, everything went as Jessica told it, the process is secured (payment, communication, etc.,) I drove 5 1/2 hrs to pickup our baby, Jessica and her husband where amazing people. Very friendly, suppler down to earth, extremely welcoming. Since this was a surprise for my wife Jessica and her husband played along with my plan. Who does that nowadays. The puppy can with his documentations, everything Jessica had said, she delivered on. I think this has been one of the most pleasant experience I’ve ever had. Drove back home 5 1/2 hours and Jessica was checking in on us to ensure we made it back home okay. One can truly feel that they cared, and it’s more than just an over the counter transaction. The puppy is in great shape, well taken care of, and healthy. Thank you and your husband for amazing experience.
