Meet the breeder

I'm Tori A., the breeder behind Lazy A Danes located in Longview, TX. Our program focuses on Blue and Black Great Danes in a variety of patterns. We health test and color test all of our dogs. We carefully select our blood lines from European lines. We breed first and foremost for temperament and then confirmation and AKC standards. AKC Breeder of HEART.

Q. & A. with Tori

  • Why did you start breeding?

While looking for our own Great Dane, we had a specific criteria and desired a dog of quality. We had a hard time finding that and finding dogs that were bred to standard. So after some long hard soul searching we decided that if we wanted that, others would to.
  • What makes your program special?

We have carefully chosen our starting breeding pairs to keep to breeding standards. Color pure breeding is becoming a lost art and we hope to maintain that as well as offer some of the unique color variations that these beautiful dogs are genetically capable of producing, however all our pairings will produce AKC show colors and non show colors.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include blue and white, blue, harlequin, mantle, merle, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
