I'm Diane T., the breeder behind Lúdico Havanese located in Washington. I strive to produce consistent and exceptionally nice Havanese. My dogs are members of my family. I will never be a big kennel. I am a member of the Oregon Trail Havanese Club and the Cascade Havanese Club. Feel free to call and come and visit my dogs and the environment we live in. I hope that you consider Lúdico Havanese for your next puppy!
Q. & A. with Diane
Why did you start breeding?
After a bit of work, I was able to convince my husband to get a dog. After a lot of research, I decided on a Havanese. A little while later, Winston joined our family. He had the most wonderful temperament. As my husband's disease progressed, Winston spent more and more time with him. As you know, puppies have a lot of energy; so I decided to get a second Havanese. Apparently, my research was good because I found a "show potential" puppy, Mia. Mia and Winston were the best of friends. As Mark's disease progressed, Winston became his therapy dog and Mia mine. For me, I began showing Mia in the ring and she was a winner multiple times and earned her AKC Championship with 5 majors! Winston, unfortunately, passed away in 2014 shortly after Mark. I am now retired. To honor my husband, I am rebuilding my life and doing the things I enjoy.
What makes your program special?
My Havanese dogs come from champion lines. All dogs are fully health tested and come with a health guarantee. I stand by my dogs and offer a 100% buyback guarantee, no questions asked. All dogs are raised and socialized in my home and are part of my family. I work with passion, heart, and integrity in my breeding practices.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include white, red, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
