Meet the breeder

I'm Aleana & Rhonda Y., the breeder behind Legacy Poodles located in Berea, KY. A small kennel program focused on raising well-bred poodles displaying the versatility of the breed. We showcase our dogs in both AKC and UKC events. We health test above OFA CHIC requirements and our parents are titled before breeding. Our poodles are our family. Our poodles are our Legacy.

Q. & A. with Aleana & Rhonda

  • Why did you start breeding?

A love for the breed encouraged the beginning of our program. We are dedicated to continuing our bloodlines. Our dogs are bred, whelped, and raised in our home for 10-12 weeks prior to transitioning to their forever home. We provide a variety of training and stimulation to help create a successful foundation for each puppy. Each puppy is sent home with a care package and lifetime breeder support.
  • What makes your program special?

We do not breed our dogs unless they are fully health and genetically tested. Adhering to the national club standard for all recommended health screening tests is paramount to our dogs’ wellbeing and our personal integrity. We are dedicated to always having responsible breeding policies when it comes to breeding, socializing, and training our pups. We want nothing more than to see each dog shine!!
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include sable, apricot, black, blue, brown, cream, red, gray, silver, white, parti, phantom, and brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
