The “Nautical” munchkins from River and Ranger are packing their bags and getting ready to meet their new families. They have been an absolute blast and I can’t wait to see what they do on their new adventures! New photos are up on the pups pages and our social media.

I got the privilege of spending Easter with the pups. I’m always thankful, especially when I had multiple medical appointments this last week, of how blessed I am to be able to sit and enjoy the company of little ones. You can’t have a bad day when their little tails get to wagging and they come running to greet ya! We hope yall had a great weekend with family and friends both 2 legged and 4!

More updates are coming soon! I apologize I’ve had quite a lot of medical appointments this last week and a half and I’ve gotten a little bit behind on sharing the progress of the puppies. I will be sending out Puppy pick times this week. Likely tomorrow, Tuesday 7 April. If you have not gotten a time in a couple of days, please reach out!

The munchkins apparently love the wobble bowl! Normally I don’t let them on the wobble side so early but I forgot to flip it over and that’s the first place they all ran to. I usually let them explore a bit before I join them so they get confidence without a human present. I watch and see if anyone’s a little hesitant on their own, especially if it’s repeated in case they need some extra attention in an area and then I’ll join them to give them an extra confidence boost and of course to get my puppy snuggles in. It’s impossible to resist the wagging tails and puppy love!

These munchkins graduated to the large playpen today. And now that we’ve had a break from the wind, we were able to let them really explore!! I have some great videos we will be posting from their first experience out here (they are so bold and confident!! ) and they will continue to get new exposures. I was so proud of all of them today. But I gotta say it is impossible to have a bad day when they trust you enough, but in a new location after they’ve had their fun, they choose to come and curl up right next to you. It’s the best feeling in the world.

About Maddi
Miss Maddi is all love. She has a medium retrieval drive and a high willingness to please. She loves everyone she meets and would work well in therapy and service work. She’s a dog that is always there waiting for you and wants to ensure you’re right there enjoying the day with her.

About Bubbles
Miss Bubbles is an absolute awesome dog. She’s incredibly human focused and is always the first to come seek me out when she’s running while we work horses. She settles right down in the house with a fantastic off switch and she’s incredibly good at puppy dog eyes to beg treats but never gets overbearing. She’s incredibly motivated by food which makes training a breeze. She has a medium toy drive and will retrieve happily.

About River
Miss River is a fantastic dog with lots of hunt drive. She naturally takes direction from the handler and is incredibly clear headed. She’s a snuggler too. She has a wonderful off switch that allows her to be out with us all day with the horses or working or skills and then come in and relax on the couch. Her puppies should be puppies that can go in any direction from wonderful companions to service and hunting dogs.

About Ranger
Mr. Ranger is a fantastic gentleman. He has a high retrieval drive but a great off switch. He loves hanging out with us all day when we are working horses. He’s happy to play fetch and chase a rabbit that may cross his path. He’d make a fabulous hunting dog. He’s intelligent but kind hearted and a total bundle of love. He wines in happiness when he returns with his retrievals and he has the most expressive face. He brightens our day every single day. He is quick to learn new tasks and we know he’ll pass that on to his pups.

Working with Lindsey was an amazing experience. She was very patient and responsive every step of the way. She had no problem answering any of our questions and providing tons of information and resources. We’ve only had our little girl home for a few hours and already know that she’s perfect for us. I would work with Lindsey again without a second thought; can’t recommend her enough!

We had a great experience working with Lindsey @ Legacy Ranch Golden Retrievers and would recommend this breeder to other families looking for a great dog! Lindsey was always very responsive as I thought of more questions regarding bringing a new puppy home and I appreciated her guidance as we were getting ready for our sweetheart! More importantly, Lindsey prepared the puppies for their new home by making sure they were well on their way with potty training and using a dog door, and I appreciated how organized she was with paperwork when we arrived to pick up Huckleberry (fka Howard). This was a great experience overall and we are very excited to have this little guy as part of our family! Thank you Lindsey!

Lindsey is great! She is so easy to communicate with and was very accommodating when setting up puppy visits and pick up. She made sure we had everything we needed to get our new puppy off to a good start!

Lindsey was very knowledgeable and clearly has a passion for breeding and raising dogs. Such a pleasure to work with her. She lives on a farm with other large animals and lots of space, so the puppy clearly had a lot of exposure to many things. I think my favorite part was that she has a doggy door for the puppies, so my puppy was ~80% potty trained at pick up. Everything was done properly and filed with American Kennel Club, which also gave me a good feeling about everything. She even had booklets for each new owner to take home.
