Meet the breeder

Q. & A. with Jean Marie

  • Why did you start breeding?

Our first Beagles came to us in 2019. Raised on our farm, they enjoy their rabbit run and rides in the truck or side by side. We breed our dogs to ensure optimal health, temperament, and adherence to breed standards.
  • What makes your program special?

Our dogs are raised on our farm and enjoy a 1/2 acre fenced run and leashed excursions to explore other areas of the farm. Their runs are temperature controlled with indoor and outdoor areas. They are socialized to humans, cats, cattle, chickens, and other dogs. From birth, the pups are exposed to sensations that enhance their ability to grow into intellectual, social, and emotional sound dogs.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include 13-inch and 15-inch sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black white and tan, black red and white, blue tan and white, and black tan and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Jean Marie

Jean Marie has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Jean Marie partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“Beagles do not tolerate being alone very well. They are very pack oriented. Therefore, it is important that potential owners either are home with the puppy most of the 24 hour day ( YOU become their pack) or they are at home with other pets who they adopt as their pack. This diminishes the opportunity for separation anxiety and any other issues during their most influential and impressionable age (7 weeks - 6 months old). Another option is doggy daycare when owners have to work away from home some of the time. I could not approve a potential owner who would have to crate or pen the beagle puppy for hours on a daily basis. ”

Price

Puppy prices include a $100 refundable deposit and $1,550 final payment, before taxes & fees.
Pay over time with Klarna.

“The price includes recommended deworming, initial vaccinations, and thorough physical examinations by our licensed veterinarian. Additional vaccinations and exams for transportation purposes will be added to the total Puppy price. The deposit secures your puppy selection.”

I recently welcomed Dusty, my 3-month-old Beagle, into my home, and it was a wonderful experience working with Jean Marie. From the beginning, she was caring, knowledgeable, and clearly dedicated to Dusty’s well-being. Dusty arrived healthy, happy, and well socialized, and it’s obvious how much love and attention he received before coming home. I’m grateful for all of Jean Marie’s guidance !

We had a great experience with this breeder. Even though I was nervous about the long distance from there to San Francisco, everything went smoothly and safely. Our puppy, Rocket, arrived in excellent condition, healthy, happy, and full of energy. You can tell he was very well cared for and loved before coming home with us. The breeder was communicative throughout the entire process and made us feel comfortable every step of the way. We are very grateful and very happy with our experience.♥️♥️♥️

Jean Marie at Leslie Beagles is simply amazing! Her response time is super fast, and she went above and beyond to answer all of my questions. Her photos and videos allowed me to see my sweet puppy for myself before we finalized everything. The pickup process was smooth and simple, and we could tell that Felix had been well cared for and loved. We couldn’t be happier with our sweet puppy, with Leslie Beagles, and Good Dog.

Jean Marie was the best person! I couldn’t imagine buying a puppy from anyone else! From day 1 when I reached out to her to when baby boy finally got to me we were always communicating. She made the process so easy and straightforward. Oliver is the most perfect puppy and I can’t wait to spend the rest of college and beyond with him by my side 💙
