Mary partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 8 weeks old.

Int/AKC Ch. Skansen's Unquestionably Political, BCAT aka "Liberty" is halfway to her AKC Grand Championship. She has many Best of Breed wins over Champions. She is the house protector and guard dog. She loves her people and is selective to whom she trusts, once you are in her inner circle she is loyal and remembers you. She is ball crazy too! Anything for a ball to chase! She is ready for her first level obedience and started in Agility but is taking time to raise this litter. She also has a qualified leg in barn hunt Novice. She is CHIC certified with OFA.

Int/GRCH Skansen's V.P. Colfax, BCAT aka "Boot" is a top-quality dog in conformation winning top 7 in 2025 for the Giant Schnauzer Breed, owner handled and winning Best of Opposite in Sweeps at the 2024 National Specialty. He also won his first 5-point major at the National Specialty Saturday show at 7 months. He is presently working in Agility, FASTCAT, Barn hunt and obedience until he matures. He has OFA Good Hips, thyroid and eyes. Passed all of the Cardiac and hereditary eye DNA tests completely clear. He loves everyone - no one is a stranger.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
