I'm Ashley F., the breeder behind Lionheart Cane Corso located in Cameron Park, CA. We are extremely selective about the dogs we include in our breeding program, prioritizing stable temperament and correct structure. Our focus is on producing quality Cane Corsos with sound minds and bodies, raised to be dependable, loving, and devoted family companions.

Why did you start breeding?
I’ve had dogs my entire life and grew up showing horses, which gave me an early appreciation for structure, temperament, and working ability. I originally sought out a loyal companion and guardian for my family, but quickly developed a deeper passion for the breed. That passion grew into a commitment to preserving its history, purpose, and integrity.What makes your program special?
We are not a large commercial kennel—our Corsos live in our home as members of the family. We are active in the conformation show ring and compete in obedience, rally, and dock diving placing the highest priority on the mental and physical well-being of our dogs before they are considered breeding quality. We only breed dogs that are fully health tested through either PennHIP or OFA.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Ashley
Ashley has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Ashley partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.
“We perform a Volhard Aptitude Test on all of our puppies at seven weeks of age. This evaluation helps us better understand each puppy’s temperament, drives, and overall personality so we can thoughtfully match them with the most suitable homes and lifestyles. Our goal is to set both the puppy and their new family up for long-term success and harmony. Puppies will not go home before 9 weeks of age. ”

We do not accept deposits unless you have an approved application. We will contact you set up an interview.”

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Shoulder Osteochondrosis
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
