I'm Deborah Ann R., the breeder behind Little Bug Schnauzers located in Hertford, NC. Our dogs are bred for health and conformation. All of our Schnauzers are AKC Registered or Pet Homes. All parents are Embark tested and Clear of all breed specific diseases. All puppies are raised in my home with me and all my other babies ❤️.
Q. & A. with Deborah Ann
Why did you start breeding?
I waited 21 years for my first Miniature Schnauzer and fell completely in love with the breed.... So much so that within 12 months I had purchased 5 babies!! Yes... I call them My Babies 😁 All of my Schnauzers are my babies and are a huge part of my family. They are never crated or left alone and unattended. They all have beds and their own blankets but they prefer to sleep in bed with me and I wouldn't have it any other way. I completely and instantly fell in love with this breed and all their amazing qualities, so I decided to breed so others can also enjoy and love them as I do.
What makes your program special?
I'm not in this for the money or anything close to that... I want everyone to have the chance to witness and experience the love and joy that Miniature Schnauzers can bring into their life's.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include wheaten, white, parti, liver, black, and black and silver. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Deborah was so responsive about our schnauzer, she sent pictures, and videos. She helped us so much, we learned so much about the breed. I am so happy and grateful of how easy and smooth the process was. Training our schnauzer was so easy, even my husband was surprised because she did not want to pee or poop in her crate, she would whine so much just to go out and poop. We're in Virginia and Deborah met us half way which was very nice of her to have traveled under 2 hrs.

Deborah Ann was so responsive. She sent a ton of pictures and she communicated very well. She asked the right questions and made sure everything was a smooth experience. I highly recommend little bug schnauzers. Neji, has been a complete angel. I’m afraid the only problem I have now is all the cuddles I’ve been receiving from him. My new companion is just perfect. Thank you Doborah Ann and family!

I had the absolute best experience picking up my little guy from Little Bug Schnauzers! Deborah Ann was so responsive to any questions or communications, and I LOVED all the regular photos and videos she sent—truly the highlight of my week! When it came to pickup, she made it painless and sent my little guy home with bags of toys and goodies! As far as temperament goes, Fitz is just the best pup and so well adjusted. Super smart, friendly, and the perfect mini schnauzer. I couldn’t be more in love with this pup! 🤍

Deborah Ann is a wonderful individual to work with in adopting a fuzzie kid. She keep me so informed on my Izzabella until it was time to pick her up. Deborah sent a care package home with Izzabella that was fonominial. Izzabella is very smart, loving, and just about potty trained. When I am ready for my next mini schnauzer, I will be contacting her again.

Our puppy is 7 months old this month! Daisy has an amazing personality and truly is the heart of our home. It's clear that she had wonderful parents with great character and temperament. I would definitely recommend Deborah Ann as a breeder! Working with her was easy and professional. I was always kept informed with videos showing what Daisy was up to right until the day we brought her home!
