Meet the breeder

I'm Carmen C., the breeder behind Little Paws Poodles located in Pueblo West, CO. Our prices reflect our commitment to our puppy families and to all the genetic testing we do to offer a lifetime guarantee on the genetic testing we do. Because we are seeing so many animals with severe illnesses and genetic problems that cost so much to upkeep and diagnose and cost is way more than the upfront cost of a puppy who has fully tested parents and come with a full guarantee. You will find them cheaper possibly but not much and most toy Poodle breeders do not genetic test a full panel. Sad to say. Cost to diagnose some things or do surgery to fix or just up keep for a health issue is usually several thousand dollars or more. Just a thought to keep in mind.

Getting a puppy from Carmen

Carmen has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Carmen partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“My puppy matching process is designed to ensure that each puppy is placed in the home that best fits its personality, energy level, and the family’s lifestyle. I believe that successful placements begin with understanding both the puppy and the prospective owner. I take time to learn about each family’s experience with dogs, daily routine, activity level, household environment, and what they are looking for in a companion. Some families may be seeking an active adventure partner, while others may prefer a calm, affectionate lap dog. By getting to know my puppies individually as they grow, I am able to help guide families toward the puppy that is most likely to thrive in their home. Because I spend every day with my puppies, I become familiar with their unique personalities, confidence levels, and temperaments. While physical traits such as color or markings may be important to some families, I believe temperament and compatibility are the most important factors for creating a successful lifelong relationship between a puppy and its new family. My goal is not simply to place puppies quickly but to make thoughtful, responsible matches that benefit both the puppy and the family. I carefully review applications, communicate with prospective owners, and answer questions throughout the process. I am always happy to provide guidance and recommendations based on my observations of each puppy. I am committed to ensuring that every puppy is placed in a safe, loving, and permanent home. If I feel that a particular puppy would be better suited for a different family, I will make recommendations based on what is in the puppy’s best interest. This approach helps create successful placements and happy families for years to come. The relationships I build with my puppy families do not end when a puppy goes home. I remain available as a resource for support, questions, and guidance throughout the dog’s life. My matching policy is built on honesty, communication, and a genuine commitment to helping every puppy find the right forever home.”
