I'm Eyowyne M., the breeder behind LittleRosebuds located in Leander, TX. Our pups are home-raised. We put a lot of care into socializing them so they can transition easily into their new lives. Which includes remaining committed to responsible practices when it comes to breeding, training, and rehoming our puppies.
Q. & A. with Eyowyne
Why did you start breeding?
I Grew up with our family dog a purebred Samoyed. My parents use to bread her and we all raised her puppies, including other animals on our farm...horses, cows, donkeys, chickens, and rabbits. It broke my heart when I adopted a puppy from a pet shop and in a week she was gone...passed from bone cancer because the puppy shop was contracting with a puppy mill. It was devastating.
What makes your program special?
I love my babies so much and I love them as if they were my kids. I believe it's good for females to have puppies it make them strong and healthy. I don't breed my females all the time, and I don't breed with just any dog out there. I make sure that all the dogs are healthy strong dogs.and with my puppies Each one gets special care and attention when it comes to their health and personality.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are tiny size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include brindle, white, liver, brindle and white, black and white, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Mave, mom
Shih Tzu
About Mave
Mave is a sweet mama this was her first litter, she had three puppies and she is so good to them and loves them very much.
Before she became a mama she is the sweetest gentlest dog barely barks, learns all of her inside tasks. She has a sweet disposition with no aggression in her at all she's more of a marshmallow than a mountain.
She has had every single one of her health tests and more, the only thing that she has is she is allergic to chicken
Jack, dad
Shihpoo
About Jack
Jack is a new stud he already has had two litters he is a great dog very smart, he learns fast. He is a guard dog not a circus dog, he loves going on walks, playing fetch, not big on chewing, and protects his person when he's going on walks. He is not a hands-on daddy he likes his space, and only arises to the occasion when it is time to make the puppies. Jack is my daughter's dog and he absolutely loves her, he allows her to dress him up he sleeps with her all night, he was very good at learning all of his in-home rules, and he gets along with all our dogs he is the perfect fit in our family.
Jack has headachromia which means one of his eyes blew the other one is normal, he can see through both and it is not affecting any of his sight, he has had all of his health testing done and is in tip top health
Andy, dad
Shihpoo
About Andy
Andy is a sweet boy, he is very much a couch potato he allows the other dogs in our home to be the guard dogs, he was very good at learning all of his in-home rules, crate trained, potty trained, and potty pad trained when we first adopted him. He was really fast at learning tricks but if he is not asked to do the trick he will not do it.
Andy is not an active father he likes to stay away from the litters and the puppies, he is definitely active when it comes to breeding time but not when it comes to father time.
Andy is a very sweet mild-tempered boy and we absolutely love him.
Andy has had every health test known to man that a shih Tzu needs on a yearly basis.
Willow, mom
Shihpoo
About Willow
Willow is a sweet and smart girl she learns a new trick fast, she did great at potty training, and all her in home rules. She is the perfect family dog, and even though she is a small dread she is a good guard dog.
She is an amazing mom as well, she keeps them clean and organized, she keeps them in check when misbehaving, and cuddles with them when they need her. Willow and I are a great team when it comes to raising these puppies.
Willow has had all of her tests funny yearly basis I do not upload them
Lenny, mom
Cane Corso
About Lenny
She was number 3 of the litter on the smaller size ..we got her for that reason, she's healthy up to date on her shots, and has had all the testing for breeding ... we are waiting on her DNA test but if her paperwork is right she should be a Cane Corso/Bulldog mix. Her parents were both 120 pounds, mom was a brindle, and dad was all black with a white chest.
Saruman, dad
Bullmastiff
About Saruman
We call Sarumon an American Bendoggy he is 80% English mastiff and 20% American Pitbull, his parents here 200 pounds each. Dad was the topical English mastiff pattern, mom was a black and white paint pattern they were both beautiful, And Sarumon is the perfect imagine of them both he's so perfect in every way to us.
Parent health testing
Breeder-Reported Testing
Good level
LittleRosebuds reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Shihpoos.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
