I'm Michelle K., the breeder behind Lively Acres Cobberdogs located in Tumwater, WA. Along with my daughter, Kelly, we are a petite family breeding program. Our mission is to produce well-balanced dogs with loyal loving temperaments, robust health, keeping the reliable breed standard. Puppies are raised in our home with socialization, ENS and so many snuggles!

Why did you start breeding?
It all started 8 years ago, when searching for a service dog for my aging and blind mother, that I found the Cobberdog. Intrigued, and excited about this wonderful breed, our love and adoration for the breed started when we received Rutland's Blondie’s Bliss. Since then we have been devoted to promoting, enriching and encouraging the breeding program, believing that everyone needs a Cobberdog!What makes your program special?
Puppies get to experience so much on the farm before they are sent to their furr-ever home. They will be MDBA registered, with lineage that traces back to Rutland's Manor and Tegan's Australian Cobberdogs.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies include medium and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include parchment, cafe, brown, parti, red, cream, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Michelle
Michelle has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Michelle partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.
“It is important to us to deliver the right fit for each family. We take into consideration the request for colour and gender, but ultimately make the decision of what puppy will go to which family on our waitlist after the personality assessment at week 7. Our top priority is that we honour the temperament of each individual dog.”
Price
“The price includes MDBA registration, Vet check, first round of vaccines, microchip, deworming and puppy socialization, crate and potty training. All of our puppies are the same price regardless of color or size. Please note, purchasing a puppy does not guarantee a colour or gender of puppy. We are subject to the what each litter presents.”

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Copper Toxicosis, Labrador Retriever Type, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC), PRA, Cone-Rod Dystrophy 1 (PRA-crd1), DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
