I'm lori b., the breeder behind LL Poodles On Tap located in Orange, TX. We work hard to produce healthy, well-rounded Poodle puppies that will make others as happy as our dogs have made us! We keep a variety of factors in mind when choosing dogs to breed, including health, temperament, pedigree, and complementary traits, so that puppies can inherit the best of both parents. We raise our dogs with love in our home and strive to pair each one with a loving family.
Q. & A. with lori
Why did you start breeding?
I got into breeding because my first poodle helped me with my anxiety and depression. I wanted to share my experience and love for poodles flexibility to work. They are brains, beauty, and able to do almost anything you want them to. I breed for workability and performance. I have had several mentors to help guide me through this journey.
What makes your program special?
My program focuses on confirmation, temperament, and drive. When my pups go home they know a few simple commands. They also go home with a temperament and drive test that way the parent know how their pup is going to be. I also expose my pups to different sights, smells, and textures (tarps, tunnels, yoga matts) to help them learn to adapt.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include apricot, black, blue, brown, red, silver, silver-beige, parti, phantom, and brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
