I'm Cristina J., the breeder behind Locust Hill Goldendoodles located in Charles Town, WV. Our parents are health tested and selected for temperament. Our puppies go through a complete curriculum while in our home including early neurological stimulation, early scent introduction, handling exercises, potty and crate training, exposure activities, socialization, noise exposure, and more.

Why did you start breeding?
Our breeding journey started in 2020 when we brought home our first goldendoodle. Annie had already had a litter with her previous owner, but they couldn’t keep her. Although she was still young, we weren’t planning on breeding her. I started researching different breeding programs and fell in love with the idea of bringing joy to others through these sweet animals. Our small program was born.What makes your program special?
At our small, in-home program, every puppy is raised with love, intention, and care from the moment they’re born. From an early age, we introduce enrichment activities to support cognitive development and emotional resilience. Our goal is to nurture puppies who are physically thriving, well-adjusted, and confident, ready to become cherished companions in their forever homes.What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Litter update on 07 Oct 2025 •…This last week with the puppies has been so fun. They are becoming even more playful. They love being outside and playing with each other. Mom comes in more often to see them and spend time with them when she can get them not to nurse from her. She wants to be with them not as mom but as fellow dog now. Litter update on 07 Oct 2025 •…We made it to 8 weeks! Some of the puppies went home this weekend so I had to take their 8 week picture a little early. They have grown so much and we adore them all. Litter update on 23 Sept 2025 •…6 weeks! This week the pups have done a lot. They are learning how to walk on leashes, potty outside, how to play with other dogs, how to sit to say please, how to climb up the front steps, and so much more. We’ve also started taking them on more car rides and out places with us when we can. We can’t cover everything needed to socialize these babes, but we do try to cover a lot. They have two more weeks with us and I know they will go way too fast. 😢 My daughter told me the other day that she can’t even pick a favorite this litter because they are all so sweet. Program update on 23 Sept 2025 •…What a weekend these puppies had! We had lots of playtime with new friends and new animals. The puppies got to meet their first baby (1 year old), their first other dog (my neighbor’s very gentle and loving German Shepherd), they walked on leashes a lot, played with lots of people, and explored more of the house. Belle is a sweet girl and has proven to be a wonderful mama. She loves cuddling with her humans and playing with her younger, smaller fur sister. There is never a stranger that comes to the door because Belle befriends everyone. Belle has been health tested and has passed her OFA hips and elbows testing.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

We had such a great experience with Cristina at Locust Hill Goldendoodles. From the very start, she was so responsive, easy to talk to, and incredibly knowledgeable about the breed.
