I'm Kim S., the breeder behind Lone Star Chinese Cresteds by Kim located in Amarillo, TX. I have owned Cresteds for over 20 years. I began showing 3 years ago and have decided to breed for the betterment of the dog. I work very closely with a fellow enthusiast to breed the best pups possible, focusing on genetics and DNA.

Why did you start breeding?
In the last 5 years I have had more time to join AKC and begin my show journey. I have met fellow enthusiasts of the breed, and decided upon applying my skills and knowledge to breeding.What makes your program special?
I am a beginner, and you can't get any more special, right? Actually, I hope my pups are special, as I try to breed for great genetic outcomes. Prices are fair, vaccinations completed, & I work with new parents on deliveries.What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include powderpuff and hairless coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Kim
Kim has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $4,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“Includes deposit. Pups will be AKC registered, UTD on shots, `Health guaranteed. Deposit may be transferred to another puppy, not refundable due to time off market.”

Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Intestinal Cobalamin Malabsorption (IGS), Australian Shepherd Type, PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Primary Lens Luxation (PLL), PRA, Rod-Cone Dysplasia 3 (rcd3)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

+6I can't begin to tell you how lucky I am that I found Kim and my boys. Once it was determined that I was getting the two brothers, Vincent and Jules, the process was super easy. Payment and communication was a breeze and it was so nice meeting Kim at the Dallas airport. I flew in from Raleigh to pick the kids up and flew back the same night. They are AMAZING little men. Sweet, loving and very smart.... sometimes a little too smart, lol. Anyone looking to get one of Kim's babies is going to incredibly happy they decided to work with her and Lone Star Chinese Cresteds.
