Meet the breeder

I'm Alyson W., the breeder behind Low Riders Corgis & Mini Aussies located in Nortonville, KS. Our dogs are well adjusted, social dogs that are living their best life with our family on the farm. We intend to provide pups to match your families life style & activity level. Our puppies will come to you working on potty training as well as basic puppy skills. Come join our corgi family. ❤️.

Q. & A. with Alyson

  • Why did you start breeding?

We had been at a car show & people kept complimenting our dogs, expressing how corgi’s they had been around were aggressive to other dogs &/or had all of these terrible health issues. We came home in shock of what we heard and spent countless hours reading about how the corgi breed was becoming tainted by poor breeding standards. The next three years we started building a program to improve the breed.
  • What makes your program special?

Our breeding program is special because we started out with just a couple of dogs and as we grew, we gained more knowledge and experience! Throughout our journey, we have met so many new people who have helped educate us and point us in the right direction. A lot of our buyers say that we are down-to-earth, personable, easy to connect with. We are committed to providing you with a positive experience and to helping you find your new forever companion!
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our American Corgi puppies include sable, black and white, and blue merle and white. Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppies include red, sable, blue, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

I have never adopted a dog before, let alone owned a dog. I did a *lot* of research ahead of time and I was still super scared about it. Alyson and all were SO kind and understanding! I'm Autistic and ADHD, so I can kind of talk a lot and ask a LOT of questions, and they welcomed it all. They were awesome, drove little Rhea (fka Ember) out to us, and answered every question. When we were unsure how to get her to redirect with her teething, their tips helped us immensely. I cannot recommend them enough! They are literally the best.

We recently adopted Juniper (Winston) from Alyson and not only was the process swift, but Alyson was exceedingly responsive to questions and accommodating of our schedules. With the loss of our previous dog, Winston has filled a void in our lives and is already an inseparable part of the family. He's wonderful around people, even strangers, attesting to the excellent socialization he received in his first few months. Alyson has been wonderful to work with, and we would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a healthy, happy, and well-socialized puppy. She clearly cares about her pups.

Alyson was awesome and so accommodating. She made the extra drive on a Sunday just to make sure I could get my puppy! Just the absolute best to work with! Awesome experience and amazing dogs!

We have had Willow now for almost two months. She is a great addition to our pet family. She is continuing to grow and explore everything. She loves to chase butterflies and moths in the back yard. Her brother and sister are coming around to her. The older Corgi is finally playing and chasing her around. We are training her, and she has learned new things pretty quick. The only downside and it was not much, at first vet visit it was found she had worms. It was not a big deal to me, but Figo insurance won't pay for any treatment associated with it. Said it was a preexisting condition before insurance went into effect. May have to think about different insurance.

We adopted our Corgi, Rex (formerly known as Red), from Alyson and Angie, and he has been an absolute joy. He’s incredibly sweet, full of personality, and a total goofball! Alyson has been wonderfully responsive, always quick to answer any questions and genuinely excited to see updates and pictures of Rex. If you're looking to add a Corgi to your family, I highly recommend working with Alyson—she truly cares about her pups and their new homes. 🐶🐾❤️
