I'm Marina H., the breeder behind Lórien Retrievers located in Holmesville, OH. We live in the countryside where we devote our hearts to raising healthy, well-loved Golden Retrievers as family companions. Our dogs are part of our everyday life, not just breeding animals—they’re our companions, and we adore caring for them. Watching each puppy’s personality bloom and placing them with loving homes is the highlight of what we do. Breeding Goldens isn’t just a hobby—it’s our passion and our joy.

Why did you start breeding?
Ever since I was very young, I’ve had a deep love for animals. In 2019, I was gifted a Golden Retriever who showed me just how incredible this breed is, and inspired me to share that joy with others. In 2021, my younger brother Trevan got his own Golden, and together we’ve poured our hearts into caring for and raising our dogs.What makes your program special?
What makes our breeding program special is the joy we get from raising and caring for our dogs. We truly love each of our Goldens and sharing that love through breeding healthy, happy puppies brings us so much happiness!What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include dark golden, golden, and light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

About Finley
Finley is a beautiful golden with a sweet, affectionate temperament and a confident, happy personality. She is the granddaughter of our girl Juno and comes from wonderful lines we know and love. Finley has already passed her genetic testing, and if she passes her OFA health clearances as she grows, she will become part of our future mama line here at Lórien Retrievers. We’re so excited to watch her grow!

Juno is an energetic, intelligent, and athletic Golden Retriever with a joyful and loving personality. She is a devoted mama who truly enjoys raising her puppies and is always proud to show them off. Juno passes along her wonderful temperament, confidence, and playful spirit to her pups, making them excellent family companions. She is a very special part of our Lórien Retrievers program.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

+4Marina was extremely responsive and knowledgeable start to finish. Once the litter was born, she added all the buyers to a WhatsApp group and kept us all very up-to-date with tons of pictures and videos of the puppies and the mother and general updates on their personalities and puppy happenings. Pickup was a breeze meeting halfway between here and Lorien Retrievers and went off without a hitch. 3 weeks on and Atlas (formerly Kylo) is happy and healthy as can be and while I’m exhausted, I couldn’t be happier. I’d recommend Marina to anyone without a single reservation.

+4Marina was fantastic. She was able to meet us halfway since it was a 4-hour drive for us to pick up a pup. She was so professional and kind. She brought all the paperwork, a small bag of food to get us started and even a little toy for him to have for the ride home. She was extremely responsive about questions and flexible with pick up times and locations. We are so in love with our beautiful boy from Dixie Goldens. If you are thinking of getting a Golden Retriever I can't recommend them enough. He came to us happy and healthy. He is the perfect dog for us, and we are so grateful to Dixie Goldens for making our dreams come true.

I got my puppy, Pickles (was Spartan at the time), from Dixie Goldens and I am so grateful to them for providing me with the best boy anyone could ask for! I had always dreamed of owning a dog, but sadly my life wasn’t conducive for one at the time. Finally, I made a life change and decided it was time where I could finally get one! When I saw Pickles on their Good Dog page, I swear it was love at first sight! When I sent pictures of him to my friends, they thought there was no way he could be real with being that cute and photogenic, but after our video call, it proved he was truly as cute and sweet as the photos showed! Pickles and I have been together for a couple weeks now and I love my little puppers so so much, and he’s living his best spoiled life!! Marina was so kind and understanding!! She put up with my MANY questions prior to me purchasing him, and was always patient with me not knowing anything since I am a first time dog/puppy owner. It was very intimidating to say the least. She even was able to meet me in the middle on pickup day so I wouldn’t have to travel as far to go get him. They provided all paperwork for him, a toy, an blanket, and food for the first few days - everything was done perfectly! Overall Dixie Goldens was incredible and I can’t thank them enough for giving me my best friend! ❤️🥹
