I'm Hope F., the breeder behind Lucky's Legacy located in Lebanon, OH. We breed for temperament, intelligence, health, and appearance. Our dogs are solid colored with healthy lines. Pups are bred, whelped & raised in our home. They get ENS, are handled daily, trained on potty papers then taught to go outside, crate trained, and learn the leash & basic puppy manners.

Why did you start breeding?
My sister and I (mostly her) bred Chow Chows a long time ago. After her beloved Chang Kai passed, I didn't think I'd ever even want another dog. As you can imagine, that didn't last long. I had a Maltese for over 15 years. The last 4 or 5 of those years, my friend had a Standard Poodle that I'd keep while she was hospitalized, and I fell in love with the breed. The rest is history!What makes your program special?
Our pups are raised as family members in the home, socialized and trained from day one. We send them out with a contract, shots, wormed, health guarantee, chipped, prepaid lifetime breeder support & enrollment in microchip database, and spay/neuter contract. As our family members, we think of their new families as extension of that so our doors & lines of communication are always open to them.What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Getting a puppy from Hope
Hope has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Price
“All pups from a litter are priced the same, regardless of sex/size/color. They do come with a strict spay/neuter contact. If we waive the spay/neuter, then the price will be higher. $500 deposit due within 5 days of birth and must be made through GoodDog, or a certified check can be mailed or cash hand delivered. Call if you need to work out an alternative method.”
Contract & health guarantee
Hope may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Litter update on 02 May 2025 •…Here is our “little” Major Minor, 3 days post-op to have a HUGE stone removed from his bladder and, as you can see, little guy does not seem to be bothered by it although the cone is a menace lol

When we first got Abby, at eight weeks, she only weighed 6.4 pounds! I was so concerned about her her size I contacted the breeder to make sure he didn't accidentally send us a mini. He assured me she wasn't and she has finally at 8 months, started to grow up and fill out. But regardless of her size, her personality is HUGE!

Hope was very helpful and informative- Honor (now Pippin!) is my first dog, so there was some uncertainty at first but Hope answered all my questions and everything has turned out great! There was definitely an adjustment period for my family and Pippin, but Hope was great about giving advice and we’ve all come a long way. This was by far the easiest process I could have imagined! Hope was so knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. She thoroughly explained every part of the application. Franklin is the sweetest and calmest dog I’ve ever had! You can tell that they really love what they do and want whats best for their dogs. I highly recommend this breeder!
