Meet the breeder

I'm Amanda H., the breeder behind Lunter's Heaven Huskies located in Tomahawk, WI. We are a small breeder that raises and breeds AKC Siberian Huskies. All of our adults are OFA eye, OFA hips and Embark tested. I have added in OFA elbows & OFA Legg-Calve-Perthes starting 2022 with all of our upcoming and future huskies. If any of our Huskies do not pass their health testings, they will be fixed and live their life here with us. Siberian Huskies are an amazing and beautiful breed of dog. Please spend some time researching them, as they are not for everyone to own. We will spend as much time with you to answer all of the questions that you have.

Q. & A. with Amanda

  • Why did you start breeding?

After I bought my first 2 Siberian Huskies in 2017, I fell more deeply in love with Siberian Huskies, and I knew that this was the breed for me. I also knew this is the breed that I wanted to keep strong and healthy. I have been researching about Siberian Huskies and breeding for over 5 years.
  • What makes your program special?

I do all recommended OFA health testings (eyes and hips, plus elbows and Legg-Calve-Perthes) for my Siberian Huskies. Will be adding in the 2 new tests for Siberian Huskies, SPS1 (Shaking Puppy Syndrome) and SHPN1 (Siberian Husky Polyneuropathy). I also Embark test all of my pack members. If they don't pass, they get fixed and stay with us. They all live in our home, and they are all well socialized, well mannered, house trained, leash trained, and crate trained. I will sit and talk with families and answer all questions they have for as long as they need.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include red and white, gray and white, black and white, and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Working with Amanda has been a great experience! She is very thorough in answering all our questions about her puppy application process, parents, health testing, etc. You can really tell that she cares about the wellbeing of her dogs and puppies. She takes the time to start all the foundation work (basic handling, nail trimming, potty training, crate training and so on) so your new pup can acclimate to your household and routine easily. She also keeps in touch to pass along or gather any necessary health updates for each of her litters. If you are looking for a breeder who goes above and beyond for her dogs and pup parents, offers life-long support of her litters, does health testing, and has a breeding program with goals to improve each generation, then I highly recommend Amanda!

It was great. Amanda was very helpful and loved my goodies bag with Winters binder info. Beautiful, healthy pups.
