Meet the breeder

I'm Connie B., the breeder behind Luv Bug Havanese located in Columbia, SC. All my dogs are AKC registered with many generations of passed health test. The puppies are raised in my home using the Puppy Culture method.

Q. & A. with Connie

  • Why did you start breeding?

Due to my living circumstances, I hadn't had a dog for years. So in 2001, I was ready and I got my first Havanese. A few years later got interest in showing my dog and decided I also wanted to breed my own show dog. Since then I’m accomplished earning titles on many dogs. In 2023, I won the prestigious Bear of Breed at the Havanese National with Vivian.
  • What makes your program special?

In 2008, I finished my first Champion which I finished in Bred By Exhibitor. By now, I have either bred or co-owned many Havanese who are champions. I enjoy showing my own dogs. I love the Havanese breed and will always breed for health, temperament and to improve on the pedigree. All my dogs live in my home and puppies are raised using the Puppy Culture method
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
