Meet the breeder

I'm Deborah W., the breeder behind LynnDee's Kennel located in Davenport, WA. We breed for health, conformation, and temperament. We produce pups that can be great family dogs and therapy/service dogs. I bred AKC Labrador Retrievers in the early 1980's. I then began breeding Cardigan Welsh Corgis and Golden Retrievers for 25+ years. We owned a grooming & dog training center for 17 years, so we didn't do much breeding during that time. We are now retired and got back into breeding Labradors 5 years ago.

Q. & A. with Deborah

  • Why did you start breeding?

I began breeding 40+ years ago. I was a senior in college when I got my first dog, an English Springer Spaniel. I began conformation and obedience showing. I have had a number of breeds over the years: English Springer Spaniels, Bedlington Terriers, Golden Retrievers, Cardigan Welsh Corgis, and Labrador Retrievers.
  • What makes your program special?

Our dogs are family dogs, and they do therapy work through Pet Partners and go on to become HOPE AACR to do crisis work. Temperament is so important to us, so we place a large emphasis on that when we breed and socialize our dogs. Our Labradors are health tested, calm, correct in conformation, and make outstanding members of the family.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Labrador Retriever puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Cardigan Welsh Corgi puppies are black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
