I'm Kacy W., the breeder behind Lynwood located in Screven County, GA. Our dogs are bred for exceptional health and temperament. We strive to produce beautiful and versatile beloved companions! Lynwood is an ethical, focused program striving to produce dogs that excel in the conformation and performance rings as well as be stable happy family pets.
Q. & A. with Kacy
Why did you start breeding?
I purchased my first MAS in 2011 who I named Trigger. Trigger and I competed in numerous performance events in multiple venues. Trigger and I went on to earn 50 titles over 5 different venues. When Trigger was 3 years old I purchased Reve from the same breeder. She was Trigger's half sister and I instantly fell in love with her. Reve became the foundation of our program. Reve is also titled in multiple performance events as well as conformation. Reve has been ranked in the top 20 of her breed for three separate years and is one of the only MAS bitches with a silver level grand championship with multiple performance titles. I take pride on my dogs abilities both in the conformation ring and in performance events.
What makes your program special?
It's important to me that my dogs embody what a MAS should be. My dogs have proven themselves in and outside of the rings to be exceptional examples of the breed. More importantly my dogs are my pets first and foremost. They live with me in my home and sleep in my bed. My puppies are raised in my house utilizing the puppy culture raising method. This gives my puppies a great advantage when they move into their new homes with their new families.
Our breeding dogs must pass all recommended health clearances before breeding. These include OFA hips/elbow xrays, eye exams, and testing for DM, PRA, CEA, MDR1, and HC. We take great pride in making what we feel are great matches in parents to produce puppies with purpose.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Hawkins, dad
Miniature American Shepherd
About Hawkins
Hawkins was the pick male from the 2022 Blaze Nirvana breeding Co Owned with DuxMinis we are excited to see this young mans future. Limitedly shown he’s already over half way to his AKC championship.
He is a cuddly little monster with a truly dorky personality. He’s just a happy guy living his best life every day.
Hawkins has had a passing eye exam and will be clear on the genetic panel via his parentage. His health testing will be completed when he’s old enough.
Lyra, mom
Miniature American Shepherd
About Lyra
Lyra is my keeper puppy from my 2022 Blaze Nirvana breeding. I have high hopes for this little lady.
She’s been shown in conformation on a limited basis and has already earned points towards her AKC Championship. She also was the 2022 MASCUSA Best Puppy in Sweeps Winner!
She has a sweet but reserved temperament. She’s a thinker and enjoys learning.
She’s has had a clear eye exam and will be clear for many genetic conditions via her parentage. Once old enough her health testing will be completed but for now she is enjoying being a puppy!
Ever, mom
Miniature American Shepherd
About Ever
Ever is our keeper puppy from our most recent litter (Archer X Reve). She is a sweet happy girl who is moderately driven. We are excited to watch her grow!
Nirvana, mom
Miniature American Shepherd
About Nirvana
Nirvana is so very special to me. She’s an amazing girl who has the best personality. All her meet her love her. She’s solidly built and covers so much ground when she moves. She has an off switch but still very keen to work and learn. To say she’s smart is an understatement. She completely embodies what I think a MAS should be and am so proud to be her breeder and so happy to be her owner.
Reve, mom
Miniature American Shepherd
About Reve
What could I say about my Reve that would express how much this dog means to me. Reve is the foundation of my program. Her 1/2 brother was Trigger my heart dog and when I got the opportunity to own her as well I couldn’t pass it up. Reve has accomplished more than I could have imagined. She’s loved by so many people but I always joke no one loves Reve more than Reve. She exudes confidence in the conformation ring. She’s moderately driven (on the higher side) and enjoys working as much as she enjoys food. She is one of the friendliest and happiest MAS you’ll meet.
Action, dad
Miniature American Shepherd
About Action
Action is our up and coming stud prospect. He’s far too young to be bred now but we are excited for his future here at Lynwood MAS. He’s a confident, happy boy. Who definitely can go all day!
