I'm Becky G., the breeder behind Magic Hour Poodles located in Webster County, KY. Magic Hour Poodles is a responsible breeder of beautiful, biddable, intelligent, standard poodles based in a small town. First and foremost our Poodles are our companions and live in the house, sleep in our beds, and watch t.v. with us all day. Puppies are raised in our home with 24/7 vigilant care. We handle our dogs to their AKC Championships which is no small feat in a competitive professionally handled breed!
Q. & A. with Becky
Why did you start breeding?
Two years after my eye-opening experience I acquired Lilly and began showing. I knew absolutely nothing but wanted to do things correctly. I health tested, showed, and continue to do the same today. Learning from handlers and breeders along the way. As with most things, the more I learn the more I find to learn.
What makes your program special?
My Poodles are all house dogs. Puppies are raised underfoot in our home with 24/7 care. We use the bio-sensor program, Puppy Culture concepts, and exposure training to produce resilient pups for homes and the show ring. I focus and black and brown Standard Poodles. I feel browns are being lost to byb and aren't as well represented in the show ring as they were in the past.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
