Living the good life here until we find him the perfect home. I love the heart shaped 'battle ruff' he gets on his bum when he plays gladiator games with his big brother Timber. Matches his heart shaped white belly marking ❤️.

The home we had matched for Blue fell through, so there is the rare opportunity to apply for a puppy that is available now. We are looking for a very special home for Blue as he's an amazing puppy with a solid foundation and deserves a top notch home. He's crate trained alongside other dogs, has at least ten hours of training having his nails dremeled, has at least 20hrs of car ride time and is just an awesome overall puppy with amazing bloodlines and a solid temperament.

As a breeder, I put an immense amount of effort into preparing my puppies to excel in their new forever homes. This includes extensive exposure to crate and Dremel training as well as lifelong support for my new homes. Here is a video of our black collar puppy, Ezekiel, getting one last nail trim before heading to his forever home here in Vail Arizona. I'm so excited that he is staying close so that I can puppy sit whenever possible. 🥰

Puppies are 8 weeks old and now the hardest part - matching each one with the perfect home. Doing in person and virtual home tours this week. They'll start to head to their new homes at 10wks. The time goes by so fast.

Seven weeks old and looking like little hounds instead of pudge balls. We had some rare rainy weather this week so they all got to sport their fancy coats and sweaters. They're loving their daily pack walks around the property with the 3 adult dogs. Getting more adventurous every day!

Getting a few hours outside each day and they've moved into a big puppy play pen area in the living room during the day. I still sleep beside the whelping box and they have all started crate training at night and I let them out every 3hrs when they wake up to pee and nurse. This week they met all the horses, the cat, had couch and bed cuddle time, were introduced to gruel, and have really started playing with toys. They also love to wrestle and chew on each other.

Rhodesian Ridgeback
About 'Reata'
Reata is very true to original type and temperament, with the perfect balance of courage, loyalty and intelligence. She is fearless in the face of danger, defends the farm from wildlife and coyotes, and is well behaved and calm around strangers and dogs in public and at shows. At home she goes with me everywhere, including horseback riding and mountain biking. She loves snuggling under my legs (and the blanket) when we watch movies at night. She rarely barks except to alert or sing with coyotes, but she is quite expressive with a variety of vocal sounds she'll use to try to communicate. Her favorite tricks are shake and sit pretty. Reata brings to the pairing her outstanding movement, an elegant and very typey head and body type, a good nose and drive, moderate height, outstanding feet, incredible loyalty, and great trainability.

Fawn was excellent when working with me to adopt my new buddy, Obi. I talked to a number of other Rhodesian Ridgeback breeders who were ok at explaining the daily requirements of owning a ridgeback but with Fawn there was an instant connection. Fawn is not only extremely knowledgeable about animals, she also has a keen sense for understanding the needs of a ridgeback and quickly realized that I had a good understanding of Ridgebacks since I had grown up and have been around Ridgebacks all my life. Fawn was able to give me great tips on nail cutting, grooming, food, medicine schedules, and all that stuff related to my bud, Obi. She is the perfect den mother to her pups. I still make a call out to Obi that Fawn made when the puppies were less than 8 weeks old, and he still responds the same way that he did when he was a puppy. Fawn is the perfect Rhodesian Ridgeback breeder to work with in my mind, and she has the most handsome puppies!
