Meet the breeder

I'm Stephanie V., the breeder behind Maple Ridge Goldens located in Newfield, NY. We breed 1-3 litters of Golden Retrievers in our home each year. Our dogs will fit best into active pet, sport or hunting homes. Each parent we select is fully health tested and titled, and we provide early stimulation, socialization and training for every litter before puppies go home.

Q. & A. with Stephanie

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have dreamed of breeding dogs since I was a child, and waited until I found the right dog to start my program with! When I got my Golden Retriever Harper in 2021, I was so impressed with her temperament and biddability that I decided she was going to be the foundation of my program.
  • What makes your program special?

We are small program that whelps and raises each litter within our home. We are able to give each puppy individualized attention, socialization and training during their first 8 weeks of life! We do ENS and ESI in the first two weeks of our puppies’ lives, and also work on house and crate training later in, as they get closer to going to their new homes, to make their new families’ lives easier!
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include dark golden and golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
