I'm Gail B., the breeder behind Maple’s Cockapoo's and Libby's Schnauzer Puppies located in Ankeny, IA. Dogs are family. We love homing our Cockapoo and Miniature Schnauzer puppies with quality pet parents that will provide loving and nurturing homes. All puppies are socialized and great with other dogs and children, we even get a great start on house training them for you!
Q. & A. with Gail
Why did you start breeding?
I was raised in the country with lots of animals and the birth of new animals filled me with awe and wonder. I marveled at the miracle of the birthing process. We adopted a Cockapoo for my daughter and then decided it would be a good experience for our children to have a litter of puppies. We all enjoyed it, and since there is a demand for quality puppies , I continued to breed.
What makes your program special?
All of my puppies come from family raised pets, that live in our house with us. I have the lineage back to the original cocker spaniel and poodle. The daddy dog(s) are pets as well belonging to friends. All adult dogs are taken care of and spoiled. I am one of the only breeders raising 4th/5th generation Cock-a-Poo's! Libby is a purebred miniature schnauzer and she has two litters a year.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our Cockapoo puppies are mini size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Cockapoo puppies include black, black and white, red and white, and buff. Miniature Schnauzer puppies include white, black, salt and pepper, and black and silver. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.

Gail was wonderful to work with! I appreciated the FaceTime call to discuss all things puppies. It was so personable and wonderful to see how her puppies were thriving. We love our girl so much and we’re grateful to Gail and her sister for giving these dogs such loving homes as newborn pups!
